We Made It to Kiev

We finally made it to Kiev after a couple of bumpy plane rides! Poor Ben needed "the bag" and Giles was heading in the same direction. We administered dramamine for the second leg and Deb sat in solitude between her two sleeping guys as a result. At least they felt good on arrival!

Zhenia had 2 men waiting for us as we entered the airport. They took us to the front of the lines for everything, managed our luggage, and we were out in 10 minutes. Zhenia was waiting for us. After many warm greetings, Zhenia took us to our flat in Kiev, which is quite nice. He took us food shopping and we all were happy for a horizontal bed after that.

That is...until 2 hours later when Ben was awakened by the one mosquito residing in the flat. That's all it took and since his body was telling him it was daytime in America, he (and Deb) were up for hours!

Today Zhenia arranged for a guide to take us around the city of Kiev. The weather was 70's and sunny and we enjoyed visiting a number of parks and monuments.

The weather is warm and sunny. We have a great location in downtown Kiev and look forward to our appointment at the State Department of Adoption on Wednesday.
